Abstract
  • This ministry project provides a problem-posing method of educating people about homelessness. The author facilitated a university tutorial by which he and students confronted the homeless problem in Connecticut through individuals directly affected by and involved with it. By confronting their fears and prejudices toward homeless people and discovering the similarities they shared, students were able to explore ways they and the church may overcome social barriers to become effective tools of change. The project's objective is to appropriate this learning method to the church so that it may understand homelessness first-hand, and consider ways it can corporately contribute to the solution.
