- Abstract
- The problem explored in this project is: (1) the developing of a consultative process to assist Southern Baptist congregations in determining the expressed needs of single adults affiliated with their congregations and developing of specific ministries which these congregations might perform in response to the needs expressed, and (2) the formative evaluating of its suitability, acceptance and fruitfulness. The Southern Baptist Convention is currently in the midst of Bold Mission Thrust. One objective of this emphasis is to “evangelize and congregationalize.”...In October of 1978, the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention also began a program emphasis targeted towards single adults. Although this project began independently from the above emphasis, it is hoped that the process may be a beneficial tool to those local congregations that wish to respond to these denominational emphases.
