Abstract
  • This project produces a series of television news broadcasts providing helpful information and resources for stepfamilies within the ministry area of Beltway Park Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas. This project directs a task force of individuals who are from blended families to identify specific needs of stepfamilies and to address these needs through a media presentation to the community. The task force contributes the research and guides the development and evaluation of a three-part news special produced and aired by a local television station. Components of this project include a study of the identifiable needs of stepfamilies, use of television as an outreach ministry of the local church, and an evaluation of this project's effectiveness as a community outreach ministry.
