Abstrakt

This project proposes to introduce classic spiritual disciplines as a means to development of a holistic and comprehensive life of spiritual devotion for evangelical Protestants and to understand each spiritual discipline in the context of personality type. Evangelical churches have neglected spiritual formation in favor of a devotional life that is narrow in scope and practice, leaving them strong in evangelism and discipleship and weak in spiritual nurture. The project offers a manual for evangelical spiritual formation that incorporates the classic spiritual disciplines and the modern study of personality found in practical application of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
