Abstract
  • The thesis of this Hindu awareness seminar is that local churches outside of India are not conscious of many Hindus around them who need Christ. This seminar provides the participants with information to motivate them to build bridges of friendship tothese communities so that the gospel can be shared in word and deed. The methods of research are participant observation, academic research, surveys, and interviews. The result is a ten-hour seminar which covers the following topics: overview of India, the world wide movement of Hindus, assimilation of Hindus into their adopted countries, overview of Hinduism, the Hindu world view, Indian social customs, blocks to evangelism, and avenues for evangelism.
