Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to access the doctrinal beliefs of a Southern Baptist Church as an element of church health. A survey instrument was created using The Baptist Faith and Message and a panel of experts who possessed a broad range of educational and practical experience. The survey consisted of eighty-eight statements to which participants indicated their agreement or disagreement. The results raised concern regarding the doctrinal knowledge of Baptists. This report indicated a need for further study regarding essential doctrines such as believer's baptism, evangelism, discipleship, and religious liberty.
