Abstract
  • The purpose of this ministry project was to help members of Hope Fellowship Church, Kansas City, MO relate to one another as a 'family beyond a family' and to help newer members of the congregation become more strongly connected to the church. Four small groups were formed and met for six sessions utilizing activities and studies centered around the concept of the family of God. Activities common to biological families were highlighted and applied to the church family. Deacon of the church were trained to lead the small groups. Results indicate that a stronger sense of 'family' was developed.
