Abstract

The purpose of this project was to lead selected members of an adult Sunday school class of First Baptist Church, Luling, Louisiana, to discover, develop, and use their spiritual gifts in the outreach ministry of the Sunday school. The project focused on the spiritual gifts of evangelism, administration, encouragement, shepherding, showing mercy, service, giving, teaching, and prophecy. Activities included training sessions, completing a spiritual gifts inventory, and participating in field experiences. Evaluation included pre-test and post-test questionnaires, expert opinion, interviews, and critical observation. The project director concluded that the selected members could be led to organize an outreach ministry using their spiritual gifts.
