Abstract
  • The purpose of this study was to discover the role and significance of evangelism in the history of the Sunday school of the Wesleyan Church (1843-1988). A subsequent purpose was to present those findings to the Department of Local Church Education of the Wesleyan Church for practical consideration and utilization. The primary purpose was accomplished through research in records and publications preserved in the denominational archives. The subsequent purpose was accomplished in a seminar presentation to the department. The study culminated in the formulation of recommendations for the future advancement of evangelistic activity through the Wesleyan Sunday school.
