- Abstract
- The study is to determine expectations of readiness for baptism of junior youth (ages 8 to 14) in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The study also gives a model for baptismal preparation. The method of study is a survey sent to two groups, adults who were baptized when junior youth and pastors and teachers in the KS-NE conference. The results show that the expectations differ between the two groups with respect to peer influence, personal conviction, and religious behavior. The results also show that junior youth expectations differ depending upon cognitive and social development.
