- Abstract
- The purpose of this project was to study the problems and needs of the bereaved spouses of former cancer patients and to develop a specialized ministry. It used a case study method that observed ten spouses of deceased cancer patients. The author planned and implemented the pilot project to meet the needs of the spouses. He conducted five training sessions with three spouses and took each spouse to visit two other bereaved spouses. The project included the trainees' views about the development of a lay grief counselor network. It was documented with additional ideas regarding such a network.
