Abstract
  • This project sought to study the giving patterns for foreign mission work in the churches of Palmetto Presbytery of the PCA. Questionnaires were sent to all 43 congregations, and all were returned. Data was also collected from the 1997 PCA Yearbook. The churches were then ranked, and five each were selected from the top, middle, and bottom third, and their pastors interviewed concerning the missions giving of their congregations. Based on these surveys, statistics, and interviews, the characteristics common to churches in each giving category were identified, and recommendations given to increase missions giving.
