Abstract
  • Southern Baptist churches often support ministers through a divorce, but are not as readily accepting of a remarriage. Chapter 2 develops the biblical and theological foundation for a ministry with remarried couples. Chapters 3-5 address the design, implementation, and evaluation of a ministry project with 8 Southern Baptist remarried clergy couples during a weekend retreat. This project aided the process of understanding, support, acceptance, and direction for remarried clergy couples. Such a ministry is vital and necessary as the church strives to represent God's grace and compassion.
