- The purpose of the project was to develop a strategy to assimilate new members into the life of First Baptist Church Jackson, Mississippi (FBCJ). To increase his knowledge in assimilation strategies and develop his skills in strategic planning, the project director explored existing assimilation strategies. He selected and trained a planning strategy team. He led the planning strategy team to develop an assimilation strategy for new members. The planning strategy team presented the assimilation strategy to the deacon leadership of FBCJ for approval.
