- The purpose of this project was to use the arts to help churches experience a sense of unique identity by studying arts. Art can engender a sense of connection to the past as well as clarify the unique identity and mission of an individual congregation. With the hope that congregations might see their own strengths and work more closely together, the author studied two groups to determine the impact of arts on the sense of identity. The project results suggest that congregations need to be made aware of the impact of art.
