Abstract
  • The objective of this ministry project was to determine a listening preference of First Baptist Church, New Tazewell, Tennessee toward the three communicating theories of Classical Rhetoric, Contemporary Rhetoric, and Casual Process in the preaching event. The objective was determined through the development of a sermon evaluation form based on a Likert scale. The project measured six sermons for correlating and disproportion. This project found that sermons preached in a Contemporary Rhetoric style were overwhelmingly preferred.
