- Abstract
- This project proposes a deeper understanding of Christian mission, leading to the development of a mission statement for a local church. The project involves approximately 200 adults in study of three different approaches to mission. This five-week study, conducted in the Sunday School, produced the raw material for a congregational mission statement that was adopted by the administrative board. The process also involved many church members in actual mission projects. The combination of hands-on experience and theoretical education has moved this young congregation from a condition of missional ignorance to one of great strength.
