Abstract
  • The purpose of this community-based action research project was to determine the impact that the Athens Coalition for Education (ACE) had on the lives of members in the Springfield Baptist Church. This study tells the story of how the members were faithful in their responsibility to be an advocate for the rights of the marginalized. Results for the project included an empowered community where faith is enacted in intentional and missional forms by the congregation. Through its participation in the Athens Coalition for Education, the congregation became a partner in providing meaningful services to address a critical social need.
