  • Within each child is a spark of life lit only by God. When children are violated that spark is extinguished. This project liberates children and the image of the divine within them from the violence and suffering rooted in our religious traditions. Developing a relationship with a loving God is vital to the self-esteem and safety of abused children. Abused children can heal spiritually through a liberation theology. This project includes an historical and informational overview of abuse, with its Biblical and theological foundations. A case study contains sample activities. A discussion on preaching about abuse incorporates sample sermons.
