- Abstract
- The purpose of the proposed project was to equip selected members of First Baptist Church, Tupelo (FBCT) Mississippi, in orphan-care ministry skills. The first step in the process of equipping selected members of FBCT was conducting personal research in the field of orphan-care ministry. The research involved exploring ministries in other churches and orphan-care ministries and insight from books which are orphan-care based. Further research included exploring curriculum from orphan-care agencies and interviewing individuals who have personal experience with caring for orphans. The project director developed an equipping seminar and faciliated the presentation of the seminar with selected individuals from FBCT to equip them for orphan-care ministry. The procedure involved setting and evaluating goals to ensure proper standards of study and the fulfillment of developing and presenting the seminar to equip selected members of FBCT for orphan-care ministry.
