Abstract
  • This project developed a textbook for an undergraduate survey course in world missions for non-missions students. It is comprehensive in covering all relevant topics, while utilizing the best insights of recent textbook writers, missiologists, and the project's fresh insights. The introduction surveys the accomplishments of 200 years of Protestant missions. The sections are: an inductive study of the biblical basis of missions; a survey of the history of Protestant missions; a brief introduction to the major world religions; a geographical overview, highlighting Christian penetration of four continents and the Muslim world; and the means of implementing the task.
