Abstract

This writing takes a look at liberation theology and its impact on a Lutheran congregation in St Petersbur g, Florida. A North America liberation model emerged which produced two viable projects in the community. Also included is the gospel in St Petersburg, and a simplified definition for the urban setting. Although differing from its third world cousin's, the project developed an understanding and interaction with liberation theology amongst laypeople in th e United States.
