- Abstract
- This project thesis is based on the premise that the minister and congregation are vocationally called to offer a mutual ministry of pastoral care. In developing mutual ministries of pastoral care an overview of methodology and the actual training experience for one local congregation are described. Included in these ten sessions are theoretical definitions of pastoral care, biblical and theological underpinnings for caring ministries, and pragmatic training skills for listening and responding pastorally. This project indicated that the laity are accessible, able, and enthusiastic pastoral carers who are called to be in a mutual ministry with their pastor.
