Primera Iglesia Bautista in Dalhart, Texas, will be led to start a home cell group ministry. Primera Iglesia Bautista is a mission of First Baptist Church of Dalhart. The target group of the mission is Hispanic persons. The project will be conducted in three phases. During the four-week church preparation phase the mission will be introduced to the concept of home cell groups and will be led to approve this approach to ministry. During the three-week leader preparation phase, leaders will be enlisted to lead three home cell groups, locations will be secured, and the leaders will be trained. During the implementation phase three home cell groups will be started, and their progress will be monitored over a six week period. Monitoring will include weekly supervision meetings with the pastor and cell group leaders. The goal is to involve in home cell groups adults or youth that are not now involved in Sunday School. In addition to the goals for each project phase, the change in the understanding of and attitudes toward home cell groups of the leadership team will be compared to those of the church membership as a whole.
