Abstract
  • There are characteristics of ministry and of singleness that, when combined, produce greater areas of challenge and susceptibility to temptation. The purpose of this project was to produce a tool for single ministers that helps them to better discern their areas of vulnerability to temptation, the role of the heart in their struggles, and the resources that Christ has provided to guard their hearts, lives, and ministries. The author's research included a wide variety of sources from both the past and the present. It also included personal interviews, and evaluations of culture and church trends. The resulting devotional workbook focuses on intimacy with Christ as one's hope of deliverance.
