Abstract
  • The problem addressed by this project is that the church has been divided into two camps since the 1960's: one gives accent to personal salvation, the other to social involvement. But in order to serve the whole gospel, the church must hold these together. The research concludes that a rediscovery of the doctrine of the Kingdom of God, as clarified by the work of Walter Rauschenbusch, can promote a viable and biblically sound synthesis of personal salvation and social transformation at the local church level.
