Abstract

The project was to develop a conciliation program, complete with policy and procedures. The writer determined suitable tools for identifying mediators, then built understanding and awareness through teaching and preaching. The mediators then tested the process. The writer wished to determine if characteristics and general qualifications for a mediator could be identified using various instruments. The final procedure included an assessment of the writer in the way he deals with conflict. Policy was established, mediators were identified and exit interviews were conducted. The process also proved therapeutic, reducing identifiable conflict. The project will have interest to pastors, denominational or church leaders.
