Abstract
  • While support groups have been utilized for the divorced, this project attempts to substantiate a valid role for support groups as a ministry to children of divorce, ages 4 to 12. A review of literature and the development of a theological rationale was undertaken to determine the effects of divorce on children and how some support groups have been utilized. The model developed by Rainbows for All God's Children, Inc. was implemented and evaluated. The results appear to indicate that a support group is a beneficial resource for children to express their feelings related to their family and the divorce.
