This thesis project was written in order to facilitate personal maturity and spiritual growth of Chongkyo Methodist Church members in mid-life. It is composed of introducing the concept of the shadow in analytical psychology, through Korean tales, dreams and the stories of the Bible which dealt with the task of mid-life and the shadow, explaining the theories of some theologians who have studied the shadow in-depth and introducing the case of operating the shadow workshop and analyzing it. The participants will experience befriending the shadow by recognizing and integrating the shadow in the progress of five workshop sessions.
