Abstract
  • Clergy who go to minister in Bermuda experience difficulties in adjusting. This difficulty is because Bermuda is a foreign country, and is exacerbated by its size, location and the failure to anticipate how different working there will be. Through a series of interviews of expatriates in ministry there and questionnaires to expatriates formerly in Bermuda a document was produced which describes the difficulties likely to be experienced. The document's utility was tested by submitting it for review and criticism by current and former expatriate Bermuda clergy, judicatory personnel responsible for placement of expatriate clergy, and clergy potentially interested in ministry in Bermuda.
