Abstract
  • Jesus Christ gave to all Christians the Great Commission to evangelize, to disciple, and to baptize all nations in the world. In compliance with that commission, passion and action are the two sides of the coin for Christians. Passion is the heat for evangelism, while action is the light for evangelism. However, though Christians in Hong Kong have passion for evangelism, the church has no significant growth. A 65-question research tool was sent to 100 pastors and church leaders in churches of different sizes and ages. Data from 21 respondents show that all 21 churches believe growth of the church depends on a passion for evangelism. 2/3s respondents that is is hard to recruit volunteers in personal evangelistic events.
