Abstract
  • This project proposes that Jürgen Moltmann's pneumatology--an understanding of the Holy Spirit as the person of God, a fellowship Spirit, a historical Spirit, and a creative Spirit--can correct misunderstandings of the Holy Spirit among Korean Pentecostal churches. Korean Pentecostals often perceive the Holy Spirit as powerful, individualistic, nonhistorical, and redemptive. By combining Moltmann's characteristics of the Holy Spirit with the characteristics emphasized by Korean Pentecostals, the Pentecostal movement can be enriched and balanced.
