Abstract
  • This project focuses on the role of pastor as steward versus his role as spiritual leader. The stewardship role is applied to building additions and renovation and the need for parish fund raising. The hypothesis of the project is that the role of steward is appropriate to the pastor and it is possible to achieve the necessary balance between his role as steward and spiritual leader. This case study is grounded in a theology of stewardship and provides a theological and scriptural basis for the role of pastor as he balances the role of buildings, souls and community.
