Abstract
  • This thesis-project revolves around a massive and thorough case study of a family in crisis. This project discusses the problem and its setting, the theological framework for families, literature review on the subject, the design of the project, and observed and anticipated outcomes. The family in question has many issues, including multiple prior marriages, depression, dysfunction in communication, and a current crisis: one of the children is caught with drugs and is expelled from school. The counselor attempts to deal with the crisis through cognitive reshaping, using a systems method of analysis and treatment as well.
