- Abstract
- In-depth life history interviews were conducted with eight retired women of the same religious community covering family background, self-description, gender, relationships, religious life, prayer and spirituality, leisure, transitions, and aging. They were 70 to 80 years old and were nuns for 50+ years. Three pastoral strategies were developed from the data. Grounded theory principles were utilized in data analysis. Two data/process sharing sessions were held: one with the interviewees for group discussion, celebration and closure; the other with the leadership of various religious congregations to broaden the conversation and outcomes.
