Abstract
  • This project explores the sacrament of reconciliation (confession) within the Anglican tradition and with special dependence on the Episcopal Church's Book of Common Prayer. It consists of a series of eight major presentations and spiritual exercises dealing with the biblical, theological, historical, liturgical, and spiritual aspects of the sacrament of reconciliation. The project envisions the inclusion of the laity and is geared to parish level participation as an adult catechetical process. It is aimed at meeting the spiritual needs of adults dealing in a pastoral and spiritual manner with sin and the sacramental means of handling sin.
