Abstract
  • This project develops, implements, and evaluates a continuous and effective ministry of prayer among members of Phillip Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church (Muskegon, Mich). Eight volunteers participate in six training sessions on prayer--structure, partners, fears, types, requests, motivation--coordinated with six sermons on prayer for the entire congregation. Participants emerge with a more disciplined and active prayer life and greater commitment to service.
