- Abstract
- The project director used Craig Van Gelder's book, The Essence of the Church, as an outline for research and further study in current missional church concepts. The director constructed a workshop with the cognitive goal of teaching selected leaders missiological ecclesiology, the affective goal to generate an awareness of the Holy Spirit's missional nature within the church, and three psychomotor goals: to equip the selected leaders with the ability to determine the difference between modern mission and missional church concepts; to equip them to outline missional church activities; and to design strategies for implementing local and mobile missional ministries. The project ws reviewed by Dr. Craig Van Gelder, Professor of Congregational Mission at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, to verify accuracy in the representation of his works.
