Abstract
  • This project design introduced select members of First Baptist Church, Sitka, Alaska, to an adaptable online discipleship program. The project engaged fourteen members in a one-on-one, seamless electronic mentoring relationship with a mentor. The leaders then mentored other church members through the mentorship model. The project demonstrated that one-on-one mentoring relationship using electronic means is an effective way to create learning which leads to the knowledge and practice of the spiritual disciplines. The enthusiasm generated from this project has the potential to change the culture of the church and reach out to surrounding isolated communities in rural Alaska.
