- 'Retirees on mission: serving the poor,' addresses the problem of recruiting retirees at First Baptist Church of Augusta, Georgia, to serve the poor. The following themes are discovered in the biblical and literature reviews: 'God's care and compassion,' 'finishing the race well,' 'betterment to development,' 'economic decision making,' and 'finding purpose.' The conclusion of this project leads to the development of two primary initiatives to recruit future retirees to consider missions. The campaign 'finish the race well' includes the initiatives of making retirees aware of social/justice issue and finding purpose in the third stage of life.
