- Abstract
- This project proposes that a congregation can experience the Kingdom of God through reaching out to outcast deaf alcoholics, who suffer from a double outcast condition. The project establishes two regular weekly meetings for deaf alcoholics at Saint John United Church of Christ, demonstrating that the church can provide spiritual nurture for this group. Because locating and rehabilitating these individuals is difficult, church program should be integrated into existing chemical-dependency efforts.
