- Abstract
- Spiritual development of pastors is needed today. It cannot be assumed that the pastor has completed his development, but further intentional effort must be pursued. This project developed a lesson plan for pastors in a small group setting which defined spiritual development, established three biblical elements of spiritual development and its theological foundation. The author researched the theoretical, sociological, theological, and biblical perspectives of spirituality with application. Also, the author presented diverse exercises to implement for spiritual development and incentives for engaging the process. The conclusion reached is that deficiencies in the spiritual life of the pastor can be corrected.
