- Abstract
- On the basis of the Great Commandment, Jesus' conflation of Deuteronomy 6:4-5 and Leviticus 19:18, plus his recital of 'The Parable of the Good Samaritan' in Luke 10:25-37, Christian missionary spirituality is characterized by a passion for God, compassion toward others, and mission to the world. The NT application of Leviticus 19:18 to fulfill the law in Romans 13:8-10, free Christians to love in Galatians 5:13-15; and forbid favoritism in James 2:8-9 is spiritual formation paradigm explored in the lives of a select group of European missionaries.
