- Abstract
- The focus of this ministry project was the transformation of the stewardship system of St John Christian Methodist Episcopal Church of Detroit, Michigan. An emancipatory quantitative action research methodology that consisted of one pretest and posttest survey, six stewardship training classes, and two sermons was used to achieve this goal. A diverse group of twenty-two church officers received stewardship training throughout the project. Both the researcher and the group grew spiritually during the project. The data analysis showed that this research group acquired new knowledge about bible-based stewardship and the proper management of material things.
