Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to provide help for divorcees. The first goal was to provide immediate help for divorcees. The second goal was to develop support groups for divorced persons. The third goal was to begin an ongoing ministry to divorcees in the association by electing a single adult coordinator. The program consisted of three parts. The project director of missions conducted a four-day divorce recovery seminar. Biblical materials concerning divorce were presented by the director. A psychologist and a medical doctor spoke on the psychological and medical problems resulting from divorce. Three enabler training sessions followed the seminar. The enablers led discussions in three discussion/support group sessions. Ongoing discussion/support group sessions were scheduled. A single adult coordinator was enlisted.
