- Abstract
- The purpose of this project was evaluating the level of understanding concerning the process of conversion in response to preaching at New Bethel Church, primarily the conversion process from the Reformed perspective compared with the Wesleyan tradition. The research consisted of an examination of the order of salvation with biblical, theological and historical considerations, and tests measuring participants' understanding of the process with follow-up focus groups afterwards. The conclusion of the study was that a proper understanding of the salvation process is important to evaluate evangelistic decisions; evangelism and discipleship is positively affected when conversion is seen as interrelated events.
