Abstract
  • The purpose of the project was to motivate church leaders for outreach ministries at Smoke Rise Baptist Church. Biblical background is set forth in chapter 2, examining the models of Nehemiah, Jesus and Paul for motivational leadership values. Chapter 3 presents John Wesley as a historical model. Contemporary models consisted of Lyle Schaller, Robert Dale and Kennon Callahan. Certain motivational methods of each person are examined and discussed in capsule form. Chapter 4 presents the project preparation and implementation. The preparation section presents project approval and data collection. The implementation section presents a capsule form of the sessions. Chapter 5 evaluates the project's data collected from interviews, questionnaires and participant evaluation. The conclusion presents the author's personal evaluation.
