- Abstract
- This project develops a model for ministry based on the practices of Cotton Mather and Jonathan Edwards. By looking at their personal lifestyles, their study habits, their devotional lives, and their sermon styles, a series of practical, timeless principles is developed that can be applied to the ministry of the twentieth-century pastor. Ten pastors evaluated these principles, and their responses show that new, useful and adaptable ideas have emerged which will be of great benefit to pastors who seek a pattern for ministry that glorifies the Lord.
