Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to develop a theology/philosophy of counseling, to adapt a counseling model, to counsel church members, and to evaluate. The theology/philosophy was formed by studying the Bible and books from theological and counseling areas. Several counseling models were incorporated to form a useful model for churches. Case studies and counselee evaluations were completed for three church members. The theology/philosophy and the counseling model were effective in giving direction in counseling. Using the model led to more specific ways to nurture church members through their concerns.
