- Abstract
- The study begins by tracing the development of the concept of reconciliation in scripture. The socio-psychological perspective of conflict was studied from a Christian orientation. A proposed process for mediation in congregational conflicts was tested in four conflict situations and evaluated. The design received strong affirmation, but it was learned that its effectiveness depends in part on the skill of the mediator and the openness of the participants to change.
